FAQ

Q. Who can attend CSI?
A. As a public school CSO does not discriminate or deny enrollment to any student residing in the     Broward School District. Enrollment will be on a “first come, first served” basis. A waiting list will be established for applicants exceeding the school’s capacity.

Q. Does CSI require students to wear uniforms?
A. Yes, CSI feels that uniformed dress promotes professionalism and a sense of school pride. These uniforms will be simple, very affordable and easy to obtain.

Q. Does CSI arrange transportation for the students?
A. Yes, parents should contact the school for additional information

Q. Does CSI arrange Breakfast and Lunch service for students?
A. Yes, breakfast and lunch service will be available to students that are eligible for free/reduced breakfast/lunch programs. Other students will pay the full price for meals. All payments can be made daily, weekly, or monthly in the front office.

Q. Does CSI have enrichment and Before/After school programs for students?
A. Yes, the program will consist of homework time, board games, movies, and outside activities.

Q. Does CSI share the same calendar with the Broward County school year?
A. Yes, CSI follows the same calendar and have the same days off as the Broward Public Schools.

Q. Does CSI offer special admissions for siblings of its students?
A. Yes, CSI will make every effort to enroll siblings of current CSI students.

Q. Does CSI have small class sizes?
A. Yes, CSI’s class size will never exceed 25 students. Also our classroom and curriculum design encourages small group activities and teacher support for individuals students’ needs.

Q. Does CSI require parental.guardian involvement on the school?
A. Yes, CSI require parents/guardians to actively participate in their children’s education. Parents are invited to become volunteers on site and at extra curricular activities.

Q. How will my child’s progress be monitored?
A. CSI requires at least two parent conferences during the school year. Interim report cards will also be used to inform families of their child’s progress. CSI student will be participating in all state and district assessments.
